Intro [actionvideo]

[After appearing somewhat suddenly in a strange verdant area, a young woman completely cloaked in a black costume instantly looks around with as minimal head movement as possible. Seeing a small piece of structure near a group of trees, she dashes toward it and stares into the trees to ensure there was no unseen enemy. She lets out a sigh, and happens to glance down to her feet, where a strange purple creature looks back up at her with strange gem-like eyes. How could she not have heard it? It wasn't like any animal she had seen before, but she was fairly certain it meant her no harm. It stood, slightly shaking at her feet and seemed harmless. Strange...]

[She feels around, her costume was intact, her belt was there... though most of her tools were gone, and in two pouches, previous objects seemed to be replaced with a small red and white sphere, as well as... a handheld computer of some kind. She grasps the device; and checks the object over. Figuring out how to turn it on, she manages to figure out most of the features due to the handy icons which had appeared on the screen. Hmm, a video feed option, it's a risk, but it may be my best option.]

[A head and face, clad in black and nearly featureless aside from barely visible stitched outlines where eyes and mouth would be; appears on the screen, almost unmoving aside from some indication that the figure is speaking. With a strong but moderate voice she cleanly states...]

This is Batgirl. I am seeking information about my location and...

[she aims the camera toward the Sableye at her feet. Her voice softens.]

also information about this creature... Any assistance would be appreciated.

005 ♖ [action for Nimbasa City]

[The day after his questionable holiday festivities, it isn't until after eleven that N finally begins to awaken from his drunken stupor. He's thankfully somehow managed to get himself to a guest room in Nimbasa's Pokemon Center (probably with help from his traveling buddies after he oh-so-conveniently passed out in the amusement park) and has hidden himself away under a blanket-- save for one arm dangling over the edge of the bed and one foot jutting out from beneath it, still covered by a green sneaker. His Zoroark and Growlithe sit beside the bed. Zoroark looks vaguely irritated, while Growlithe is resting his head next to N's arm and whining lowly in concern. It is that whining that makes N stir and move the blanket. Growlithe perks up and moves away from the bed, wagging his tail excitedly.

N surveys his surroundings with bleary eyes, squinting when he realizes just how disoriented he is. He tries to sit up but finds it exceedingly difficult; he gives up pretty quickly. The electric light of the room hurts, and he has to bring up his hands to shield his eyes.

Whatever he did last night is a blur. What happened? Where is he? Why does his head hurt? Is he... wearing a "Save the Wailords" t-shirt...?
Hearing another whine, he looks to his side.]

... Growlithe...? [Master N is alive! Growlithe can't contain his happiness! He barks in greeting. N yelps in pain and recoils, retreating back to the spot underneath his blanket.] Friend, p-please don't... [Growlithe tilts his head in confusion and... barks again, only slightly quieter. N groans pitifully and curls into the fetal position. Yeah, now might be a good time for someone to come in and explain what happened and reassure him that he's not dying.]
